The Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador needs your support in continuing our mission of supporting the 7,466 individuals affected within the province. We offer our programs and services through the generosity of individuals, private businesses, corporations, and community groups who support our fundraising activities. Planned giving is a donation to the Alzheimer Society in the form of a will bequest, gifts of life insurance, or a charitable gift annuity. There are different ways to set aside a portion of your assets to benefit both you and the Alzheimer Society. Each method can be individually designed to meet your financial and personal needs.
Will Bequest A will offers donors a way to make a gift that may not have been possible during their lifetime. A charitable bequest in your will can be in the form of a specific sum of money, a particular piece of property, or a percentage of money that remains after expenses and other bequests are paid.
Gift of Life Insurance You can plan to name the Alzheimer Society as the owner or primary beneficiary of all, a fraction of the policies of an insurance policy. This option allows you to leave a substantial gift to support the Alzheimer Society upon death. If the Society becomes the ultimate beneficiary of the policy, your estate will receive a charitable receipt.
A Charitable Gift Annuity A charitable gift annuity is a simple agreement between the Alzheimer Society and you. A prescribed charitable gift annuity can benefit you and the Alzheimer Society. Depending on your age, a charitable annuity allows you to give through a series of regular payments, save tax and increase your income. The amount of your annuity depends on your age, gender, interest rate and the size of the contribution you wish to make.
